WIMCO Reaps the Benefits of eCMS v.4.2 Content Management & Workflow Implementation and Estimates Over $50K Savings

WIMCO Reaps the Benefits of eCMS v.4.2 Content Management & Workflow Implementation and Estimates Over $50K Savings

WIMCO Corp, a family business that has completed more than 2,900 projects and built a reputation as an industry leader through its adoption and utilization of advanced technologies to support its commercial building construction, has recently implemented eCMS v.4.2. The eCMS v.4.2 Construction ERP Software implementation included the roll-out of CGC’s advanced Content Management and Workflow applications.

Key driving forces included WIMCO’s recent exponential growth, increased invoicing volumes and complexities, and their outdated digital imaging system.

Today, the Invoice Register feature provides WIMCO access to all invoices and bills within a single platform that is integrated with all other features and applications. A standard coding table was available out-of-the box, which was then customized to meet the company’s unique needs. Admin rights were quickly established and data from the old system was pulled and transferred.

Further, eCMS Content Management & Workflow applications ensure ongoing interconnectivity between the field and office, as they help WIMCO collect, modify, disseminate and store of mission-critical documents with easy-to-use, simple tools during daily operations. PMs can view subcontractor billing in IDIs (CGC’s Business Intelligence tool) or export to Excel as needed, as well as pull or view data within IDIs as desired. Information can be color coded for streamlined processing or flagged as missing change orders. The bottom line is improved efficiency, heightened processing capabilities and greater functionality across the enterprise.

“For a few years, various unforeseen circumstances caused us to put off a system update because we knew that we could not dedicate the time needed for implementation not to mention the change and disruption we thought would come with it. But finally, our exponential growth afforded us the ability to revisit some of the great new products Computer Guidance had to offer. It was evident that the complexities of our invoice workflows had become a significant drag on our overall productivity. Partnering with CGC, we made a smooth and seamless transition to eCMS v.4.2 and now enjoy significant time savings, tremendous operating efficiencies, and substantially improved cash flow,” said Darlene Moore, EVP/Secretary Treasurer, WIMCO Corp.

Construction Executive Magazine Reveals Most Influential Construction Technology Companies

Scottsdale, Arizona—September 23, 2021—Computer Guidance Corporation, the leading developer of cloud-based ERP solutions for the construction industry, announced today its selection among the 2021 Top Construction Technology Firms™ by Construction Executive Magazine. The magazine announced its first-ever Top Construction Technology Firms list as part of a special issue dedicated to construction tech firms responsible for revolutionizing the industry.

Premiering in the magazine’s September issue, CE 2021 list of The Top Construction Technology Firms focuses on the leading construction technology solution providers that have helped construction companies to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, streamline business practices, improve productivity and safety, and increase profitability, paving the way for construction to become synonymous with tech. Computer Guidance Corporation was selected among the list of CE’s 2021 The Top Construction Technology Firms featuring in this month’s issue of the magazine.

“Stiff competition and a complex, rapidly changing environment has made the construction industry a difficult place to succeed over the past several decades, but when you throw a global pandemic into the mix, you’ve got unprecedented challenges and no roadmap to follow,” said Mike Bihlmeier, President, Computer Guidance Corporation. “In order to succeed, and in many ways, just to move forward, companies had to adapt and innovate, which is where CGC has always led the way in construction enterprise resource planning.”

CGC’s eCMS delivers an advanced accounting system/ERP with integrated job costing, payroll, core accounting, business intelligence, content management, mobile, purchasing, time and material, bill of material, order processing and human resources applications, all through a single platform. eCMS allows users to view, manage and share real-time, business-critical data tailored to individual needs, enabling each team member to make decisions proactively based on secure access to relevant job information so they can improve future outcomes and effectively manage the bottom-line.

“Computer Guidance Corporation will continue to invest in our solutions portfolio and our personnel and partners to ensure our clients thrive no matter what the state of the environment in which they are asked to perform,” continued Bihlmeier. “Digital transformation is at the very core of our business, allowing us to meet the ever-changing and growing needs of our valued clients with ease.”

In 2020 and 2021, Computer Guidance Corporation rolled out several web-based features and solutions, including additional business analytics, dynamic business intelligence, content management enhancements and a suite of mobile applications. All the while, the firm stayed current with government and industry standards and regulations, and continued to provide the necessary accounting, HR and payroll enhancements required to support clients with new COVID-19-related administrative processing and reporting activities.

WIMCO Reaping Benefits of eCMS v.4.2 Content Management & Workflow Applications

WIMCO Reaping Benefits of eCMS v.4.2 Content Management & Workflow Applications
Commercial Contractor Saving Significant Time & Costs, Enjoying Improved Profit Margin

Scottsdale, Arizona—September 8, 2021—Computer Guidance Corporation, the leading developer of cloud-based ERP solutions for the construction industry, today announced that WIMCO Corporation is witnessing tremendous productivity and financial gains following the implementation of eCMS v.4.2 Content Management & Workflow applications. WIMCO recently upgraded to CGC’s flagship ERP and implemented its latest advanced application suite as part of a digital transformation strategy. The end result has been a significant reduction in time and expenses, as well as heightened profit margin.

With its first iteration of digital imaging and content management, WIMCO Corporation had already improved its operations versus manual AP invoice processing, but the firm still lacked the ability to have on-demand, real-time content access and sharing. With eCMS v.4.2, WIMCO could implement advanced workflow capabilities that no longer required hours of coding invoices to jobs, extensive validation processes, searching content in segmented folders and more.

eCMS v.4.2 Content Management & Workflow applications deliver a single platform where all digital content is accessible in real time to support processing and decision-making. Content can be viewed and used via different user-level security settings and is available to all departments in any phase of project activity. Information capture, management and sharing is seamless and available via high level reports and dashboards or in drilled-down detail.

“We love how CGC stays ahead of the curve and never stops innovating. Their forward-thinking ensures WIMCO remains in good hands no matter how our business goes or grows,” said Darlene Moore, Executive Vice President/Secretary Treasurer, WIMCO Corporation. “CGC works with customers to understand how they can best deliver advanced workflow solutions to drive business efficiency to new levels, positively impacting the entire enterprise from a single, integrated and fully digital platform.”

“eCMS v.4.2 is a great example of state-of-the-art technology and platform reliability, which can be a rare combination in the construction-specific ERP market,” stated Mike Bihlmeier, President, Computer Guidance Corporation. “CGC seeks client input as we develop new solutions because we believe it is our job to help them do more with less effort, including providing new ways to capture, share and manage data that leads to proactive decision-making that positively impacts their bottom lines.”
