IMPORTANT! September Hosted Maintenance Window Rescheduled to September 12–13

September 9, 2026 by cgc2017

Dear Hosted eCMS Customers,

To address a slight degradation in system latency (speed), we are moving the September monthly hosted maintenance window to this coming weekend.

Updated September Hosted Maintenance Window
Saturday, September 12 – Sunday, September 13
5:00 AM MST – 5:00 PM MST

This maintenance window will allow our team to perform necessary maintenance and optimization needed and help ensure continued system performance and reliability.

Please note: This maintenance schedule change only applies to customers currently hosted in the CGC hosted environment. It does not apply to customers hosted on the IBM Cloud platform or to on-premise customers.

With this schedule change, the originally scheduled September hosted maintenance window of September 19–20 will no longer take place.

We apologize for the short notice and appreciate your understanding as we work proactively to maintain the performance and reliability of your hosted environment.

If you have any questions, please open a ticket through the CGC Support Site.

Thank you, Computer Guidance Corporation

Technology Partner Highlight: Corpay

September 1, 2026 by cgc2017

We are pleased to highlight Corpay, a long-time technology partner of Computer Guidance Corporation. Formerly known as Nvoicepay and Comdata, Corpay brings these solutions together under one organization, and CGC continues to partner with Corpay to deliver integrated payment automation solutions to our customers.

Computer Guidance Corporation and Corpay have partnered since 2010 to help construction organizations simplify payments through integrated solutions within eCMS, including virtual card, expense management, and AP automation.

Corpay’s cloud-based AP payment solutions help organizations streamline payments, increase visibility, strengthen control, and reduce payment costs by helping them shift more vendor payments from manual checks to electronic payment methods.

Designed to support complex construction organizations, Corpay offers flexible workflows, multiple entities and locations, approval hierarchies, bank accounts, payment methods, and on-demand reporting.

With eCMS Connect for Corpay, invoices are approved for payment in eCMS, while Corpay manages the payment process and determines the most cost-effective payment method for each supplier. The API-based integration provides a seamless, reliable, and secure exchange of data between eCMS and Corpay.

Cybersecurity Bulletin: Initiatives and Updates

Computer Guidance Corporation has continued to strengthen its cybersecurity and IT governance practices throughout 2026 to help provide a secure, reliable, and resilient environment for our customers, partners, and employees.

With the leadership and support of our parent company, JDM Technology Group, CGC has implemented enhanced cybersecurity standards, policies, and governance practices designed to reduce risk, protect systems and data, and strengthen our ability to prevent, detect, and respond to evolving cyber threats.

James Bullis, Director of Cybersecurity for JDM Technology Group, leads cybersecurity initiatives across the organization, overseeing security strategy, risk management, monitoring, incident response, compliance, and ongoing improvements to our cybersecurity program.

Key Cybersecurity Initiatives

CGC has implemented and continues to enhance key security measures, including:

✅ Endpoint Protection & Threat Detection – Advanced protection and monitoring across employee devices and servers leveraging Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Sentinel One.

✅ Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – Strengthened authentication requirements for network access and critical business applications.

✅ Windows 11 Upgrade on all systems and terminals.

✅ Cybersecurity Awareness Training – Ongoing security training and phishing awareness testing for employees.

✅ Vulnerability & Patch Management – Processes to identify, address, and reduce potential security vulnerabilities.

✅ Access Controls & Reviews – Established schedules and processes for regular reviews of user and privileged access to critical systems and applications.

✅ Incident Response – Defined procedures for identifying, reporting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents within CGC and within the JDM Technology Group.

✅ Network & Infrastructure Security – Enhanced network perimeter security, segmentation, encryption, and other protective measures.

Our Ongoing Commitment

Cybersecurity is an ongoing process, not a one-time initiative. CGC will continue to evaluate, enhance, and strengthen our security practices as threats and technology evolve.

As part of our commitment to keeping customers informed, Computer Guidance Corporation will use Cybersecurity Bulletins to share important information about our cybersecurity efforts, initiatives, and best practices. We are committed to protecting our customers, our systems, and the information entrusted to us.

eCMS v.4.2 Fix Pack 3 HF315: 2025 1099 Electronic Filing and IRIS Requirements

August 25, 2026 by cgc2017

eCMS v.4.2 Fix Pack 3 HF315: 2026 1099 Electronic Filing and IRIS Requirements

Our team is beginning the installation of eCMS v.4.2 Fix Pack 3 HF315 for both on-premise and hosted customers.

The primary purpose of HF315 is to provide access to the new 1099 electronic filing functionality and requirements for the IRS Information Returns Intake System (IRIS).

Action Required After Installing HF315

After HF315 has been installed, you will need to restore the updated 1099 eForm templates in eCMS.

From eCMS, go to:

Tools > eForm Viewer > Edit Templates

When prompted, select and restore the following templates:

Form 1099-MISC

Form 1099-NEC

Form 1099-BROKER

Form 1099-DIVIDENDS

Form 1099-INT

Restoring these templates will provide access to the updated 2026 eForms needed for 1099 processing.

New IRIS Electronic Filing Functionality

HF315 also introduces a new menu option in eCMS:

A/P > Annual > IDI 1099 Register/IRIS Electronic Filing (APPM12-11)

The IRS retired the previous FIRE (Filing Information Returns Electronically) system at the end of the 2025 reporting year. Beginning with the 2026 reporting year, 1099 electronic files will be submitted through the IRS IRIS (Information Returns Intake System).

CGC is currently preparing an updated year-end documentation guide for 1099 processing, including instructions for using the new IRIS electronic filing process. Once available, the documentation will be posted on the CGC Portal under:

Knowledge Center > eCMS Quarter-End and Year-End Documentation > IRIS Filing

CGC Portal – Quarter-End and Year-End Documentation

Important: Obtain Your IRS Transmitter Control Code (TCC)

On July 10, 2026, CGC sent a communication emphasizing the importance of contacting the IRS and submitting an application for a Transmitter Control Code (TCC). A TCC is required to submit 1099 files through the IRIS system.

If you have already obtained your TCC, you can begin creating and submitting test files through IRIS for the 2025 reporting year.

We strongly encourage you to complete this testing now. Testing early will give you time to identify and resolve any setup or filing issues before year-end.

If you have not yet started the IRS TCC application process, please begin immediately. The IRS has indicated that processing and feedback may take approximately 4–6 weeks.

Tutorials for completing the IRS TCC application, including a CGC-specific version of the tutorial, are available on the CGC Portal:

Knowledge Center > eCMS Quarter-End and Year-End Documentation > IRIS Filing

CGC Portal – IRIS Filing Documentation

2026 File Changes

At this time, the IRS has not yet provided the final file changes for the 2026 reporting year. CGC will incorporate the 2026 requirements into eCMS as soon as the applicable specifications are made available by the IRS.

If you have questions or need assistance, please open a Support Ticket with CGC Support.

Thank you,
